Established as a DOC in 1970, Recioto di Gambellara is the panerai replica first wine of Vicenza to obtain the DOCG in 2008. Two variations of this wine are produced, Classico and Spumante, achieved by a special wine-making of the best bunches of garganega grapes that are meticulously selected and gathered by hand during the first days of September. This wine has a golden yellow colour, a ripe fruit aroma with vanilla scents and it has a strong and persistent taste. Recioto di Gambellara is suitable for cheese (fresh caprino cheese or more aged cheese) and for almond cookies. It should be served at 12°C.
