Verdiso is a centuries-old, autochthonous grape of Treviso's Altamarca. Dry and lively, with a hint of unripe apple and a slightly bitter aftertaste. It is medium alcoholic, enjoyable with light appetizers, fish or spring risotto with herbs. Verdiso is a wine with a pale straw yellow color with greenish reflections, with a subtle, delicate, fine, slightly fruity aroma. The body is slender, the taste is fresh and salty, with a good and pleasant acidity. Overall harmonious and well present in the mouth. It is often accompanied by a slight charcoal that makes it pleasantly drinkable. In 1991 in Combai was born the association "Amici del Verdiso" (Verdiso's friends) which includes both producers and consumers with the aim of enhancing the Verdiso wine. This wine is offered in five types: quiet, sparkling, sparkling with background, sparkling and passito.
